My blog has a brand new look - hope you like it! I'm going to be working for the next few weeks at making this blog and my website work together a bit better. All the content you love will still be available on my site, but I'll be changing the way I do things a bit! I'll announce it here when I post new projects and featured artists. This way you only have to check one site for updates, instead of two. {If you have a link to my blog on your site, please be sure it points here.) I'll keep things active at both sites, but if you come here first, you'll have all the info you need.
And speaking of featured artists, allow me to introduce you to Miss October....
Wilna Furstenberg!
Wilna's a 2006 CK Hall of Fame winner and a finalist in the Making Memories Idol competition - so be sure to cast your vote each week! Here's one of Wilna's layouts:
Want to see more? (Well, of course you do, her work is awesome!) Check out her Featured Artist profile, now available on my website.
Oh, and a note about my new blog title - I'm going back to basics. When I first started a blog over a year ago, I launched it under the title "Brave New Girl," which is a song by Britney Spears. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I love "teenybop" pop music. It's a guilty pleasure, I must say. I do recognize-of course-that it's not the best music out there, but man, it's fun. I love to dance, and pop fits the bill. Though I didn't feel like "Brave New Girl" would fit my blog anymore, and I had wanted to stay in line with the music/pop theme, so thought of using "Between You & I" - a song from Jessica Simpson's new album A Public Affair. It's actually a love song, but I think it works. When it comes to scrapbooking, I love to connect with each person I encounter, and each person I teach. I strive to inspire you to create projects and pages you'll love--it's what my book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Scrapbook Projects, is all about. In the end, though, it's back to just "Scrap With Ally" - tried and true, plus most of you still have your links pointing that way. So there ya go!
So, go have fun and enjoy Wilna's profile and her amazing art. Get out your supplies and scrap. Have a great day. Be inspired. Live inspired.
(And ps--yep, that's me up on the blog banner. I was 8.)
